Quintin Hughes, Sr., was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Development Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2023. Hughes is the founder and interim program director of Northeast Oklahoma City Renaissance Inc. (NEOKCR), a non-profit organization established to catalyze ethical, place-based community development in Northeast Oklahoma City. He co-founded their annual block party to spark a future community vision with temporary placemaking, real estate development, and minority enterprise founder accelerator programming. Hughes is also co-owner of Kindred Spirits, a community gathering place, outdoor entertainment venue, and full-service patio bar located in the heart of the community.

Hughes is a member of the Oklahoma City Innovation District board of directors, a subcommittee member of the MAPS 4 Citizen Advisory Board, and on the leadership team of the Henrietta B. Foster Center for Minority Enterprise Development.

Hughes holds a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
