The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City supports academic competitions for high school students on the subjects of monetary policy, economics, and personal finance.

Essay Contest
The Essay Contest is an opportunity for students to expand on classroom learning through personal research and reflection, while enhancing their research, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Missouri Personal Finance Challenge
The Missouri Personal Finance Challenge is a collaborative effort between the Missouri Council and Centers for Economic Education, with support from the Federal Reserve Banks of Kansas City and St. Louis. This statewide competition helps educators address curricular materials that are part of the new required Personal Finance course in Missouri high schools. The competition helps to encourage high standards for achievement in these classes and to provide support and encouragement to school systems, teachers, and students for their accomplishments.
