Social Studies and Economics Cross-Curricular Connections

Explore poverty, equality, ethics, and other real-world issues facing diverse and low-to-moderate-income communities through an economic lens. We will use inquiry-based methods, award-winning literature, and primary sources to create curricula applicable across grades and subject areas. Prepare to interact as you delve into new resources, research, and more that can empower students to appreciate differences and to become advocates of social change and economic development.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Registrants will receive details and additional updates as the event draws near.

Note: This opportunity is hosted in partnership with the Kansas Council on Economic Education, Wichita State, Northwest Missouri State, and Fort Hays State universities. Graduate credit will be available at a reduced cost through participating universities.

Additionally, some scholarship funds may be available to offset some of the tuition for Kansas and Missouri K-12 teachers. For questions or more information, contact Gigi Wolf. We look forward to seeing you!
