Amanda Brewer was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Development Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2024. Brewer leads Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, one of the nation’s largest Habitat affiliates. Habitat Omaha serves communities in five eastern Nebraska counties, and partners with other nearby Habitat affiliates to increase Habitat Omaha’s mortgage loan pool, effectively increasing each affiliate’s capacity to serve more families.

Brewer currently serves on the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce board and the Omaha Urban Core Housing Committee. She has served on various task forces and strategic planning committees to shape housing policy in Nebraska. Formerly, she served on the Nebraska Young Presidents Organization (YPO) board as well as the Habitat for Humanity International U.S. Council.

Brewer holds a bachelor’s in English from DePaul University.
